Friend, LGBTQ+ are still facing challenges. In fact, the LGBTQ+ mental health crisis is worsening in the U.S.
The recent Project SPARK study from The Trevor Project paints a heartbreaking picture: more LGBTQ+ youth are reporting anxiety, depression, and, unfortunately, even thoughts of suicide than just a year ago.
And according to another Trevor study, two in five (44%) LGBTQ+ young people reported having at least one LGBTQ+-related political concern, such as considering a move to a different state or needing to cross state lines to obtain health care because of LGBTQ+ politics.
Friend, this is about saving young LGBTQ+ lives. There is hope. The Trevor Project's research shows that LGBTQ+ young people with at least one accepting adult in their life report significantly lower rates of attempting suicide — in most instances by 40%.
That’s why your support is so urgently needed. For many LGBTQ+ youth, that one person is a Trevor crisis counselor. They can always count on us because we can count on you.
