As our state faces unprecedented challenges from the government shutdown and the Trump administration’s attacks on our rights and democracy, I’m proud to join state leaders in fighting back on behalf of Marylanders.
I’ve sued the Trump administration over 30 times for their dangerous overreach, including for:
✅ Illegally firing federal workers
✅ Threatening healthcare access and privacy
✅ Undermining voting rights and civil liberties
✅ Slashing funding for critical public safety programs
✅ And right now, I’m suing the Trump administration over withholding SNAP benefits, which has left hundreds of thousands of Maryland families unsure of how they’ll afford groceries
But I’m not fighting alone.
Congresswoman Elfreth and Senator Alsobrooks are also working to protect federal workers by introducing a bill that protects probationary employees. Additionally, Comptroller Lierman announced tax relief measures for federal workers affected by the shutdown.
That’s what leadership looks like: Marylanders standing together to protect our neighbors and hold this administration accountable.
