Earlier this week, we told you our plan to save the DC Healthcare Alliance.
We need you to show up--at the Wilson Building or on Zoom--on December 3rd to testify about the importance of preserving access to lifesaving care.
To prepare impactful stories, we are hosting a training next Tuesday, November 17th at 7 pm.

Our trainers will be Katharine Landfield, Senior Advocacy Strategist at Fair Budget Coalition, and Nadia Salazar Sandi, Senior Campaigns Manager at the DC Fiscal Policy Institute.
The Latino Medical Student Association at GW is hosting a workshop specifically for healthcare professionals, at the same time. Sign up here.
These trainers will support you in crafting a powerful narrative to convey the importance of restoring the Alliance to DC Council.

A principios de la semana, le informamos sobre nuestro plan para salvar el seguro médico la Alianza.

Dear Friend,
Thank you for taking action to support the restoration of the DC Healthcare Alliance program.
As you know, in October, D.C reduced coverage for all 25,000 Alliance patients, and kicked another 2,800 people off the program altogether.
Our collective efforts have already raised the salience of this issue for the D.C. Council and Mayor’s office. |

We have another opportunity to make our voices heard! On Wednesday, December 3, 2025 Councilmember Henderson will hold a roundtable on the DC Healthcare Alliance and Medicaid including the new Basic Health Plan.
A roundtable is like a public hearing: individuals have the opportunity to testify as part of the official record. Each person will have three minutes to testify either in person at the Wilson Building or over zoom. Individuals can testify with interpretation.
Now is an important time to share your story! The Council needs to hear how the Alliance cuts are impacting patients, families, and providers. Register to testify today! |

To help you prepare your testimony, you can attend a workshop on Tuesday, November 18 from 7:00pm – 8:30pm. We are hosting one bilingual workshop for patients and allies and the Latino Medical Student Association at GW is hosting a workshop specifically for healthcare professionals. |
