Giving Tuesday is December 2, and today, we are kicking off the countdown.
Every morning, teachers across the country walk into our classrooms carrying more than lesson plans. We carry the profound responsibility of keeping our students safe, happy, and ready to learn.
We are the steady voice when reassurance is needed, the protective presence when fear enters the room, the quiet strength during difficult days, and the person who stays long after the bell rings to ensure every child feels seen and supported.
This year, as we approach Giving Tuesday, we invite you to give back to the people who are always giving. Your support helps Teachers Unify strengthen the programs that put safety and care directly into our classrooms:
* Project Lockdown: We help educators and families make secure storage a standard part of everyday safety, because two-thirds of school shootings are preventable when firearms are stored responsibly.
* Crisis Intervention Team: We connect teachers with immediate crisis support and training, and we help schools strengthen the preventative practices that keep classrooms safer long before a crisis begins, because caring for educators is essential to student safety.
We’re working to make every classroom a safer place to learn by supporting the teachers who show up for their students every day.
Stay tuned for stories, updates, and ways you can support us in this work as we count down to Giving Tuesday.
