John,

When we send you these fundraising emails, we’re not just raising money to
“fight back” or “resist.” We’re building toward a clear, positive vision
of our future.

Powered by People believes that our government — in Texas and DC — should
be doing more to deliver for the people, not the powerful. That means:

* Raising the minimum wage so no one has to work two or three jobs to
make ends meet.
* Ensuring all Americans have the ability to see a doctor and get the
care they need.
* Guaranteeing that every kid can go to world-class public schools.
* Making sure people have access to child care, paid leave, and
affordable housing.
* No longer allowing gun violence to be the leading cause of death for
kids.

Too many Democratic leaders only react to Trump — but reacting isn’t a
strategy, and it’s not how we win the voters we need to change this
country. What brings people in and turns them out to vote is a bold vision
and a plan to deliver on it.

We’re on the ground having conversations with communities, hosting town
halls, registering voters, and showing how to use power for the people.

But this work is only as strong as the movement behind it. Your donation
builds the resources we need to reach more voters, turn them out, and
finally give Texas a fighting chance.

can you chip in $3 before our mid-month fundraising
