Virginia Mobile ID is here!

This week, the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles launched Mobile ID, a secure, digital version of your valid Virginia driver’s license or ID card that is downloaded as an app on your smartphone.

Virginia is the first state in North America to launch a mobile ID that is accepted at all DMV Customer Service Centers, by law enforcement, for voting, and at select airports and Virginia ABC stores. I've been working on this with DMV since my election two years ago, and I'm excited that finally Virginians have a modern way to verify their identity using their smartphone. Getting started is simple:

• Download the Virginia Mobile ID app from the App Store or Google Play
  
• Follow the quick steps to enroll using your valid Virginia driver’s license or ID
• Apple Wallet and Samsung Wallet integration is expected to launch in 2026.

Lieutenant Governor-elect Ghazala Hashmi's victory means she will soon resign her Senate seat, leaving our majority at 20-1.
