It’s time to step back and take stock of where we are, John:
We had hoped to spend 2025 already hard at work in key swing districts, organizing early and laying the groundwork necessary to flip these seats from red to blue.
But Donald Trump’s attempts to rig the 2026 election before a single vote was cast derailed our efforts. California had to respond to neutralize the effects of Texas eliminating 5 Democratic districts, which resulted in our campaign and big win passing Proposition 50 to draw new district lines.
Now, we need to catch up. Will you make a donation today that will directly fund our organizing efforts in the swing seats that will decide control of the U.S. House? [[link removed]]
CHIP IN $ >> [[link removed]]The truth is, we had no choice but to focus on passing Proposition 50 to defend democracy in all 50 states.
Donald Trump ordered Texas and other red states to eliminate blue seats because Republicans “deserved” them. Texas Republicans followed his orders immediately, taking the unprecedented step of redrawing their congressional districts mid-decade.
Governor Newsom immediately responded, putting together a plan that kept voters — not MAGA politicians — in charge of our elections.
And the California Democratic Party joined the effort, tirelessly helping lead organizing across the state. And we won.
But that’s only the first step. Now, on a tighter time crunch than ever before, we need to deploy organizing resources to the new swing seats all across the state.
The plans we made earlier this year need to be totally redone, and we need to draw up new proposals for regional offices, organizer recruitment, literature development, and so much more.
This isn’t cheap, but we’re scrappy and smart with our resources. We don’t need a billion dollars. A few grassroots donations of $ or $ would make a huge difference. Will you pitch in? [[link removed]]
