The results from last week’s election have finally settled in.

Voters took to the polls to defend democracy. They pushed for leaders to protect voting rights and our fundamental freedoms. And they demanded fairness and opposed blatant map manipulation to ensure our elections truly represent the will of the people.

As we reflect on the progress made, we can’t lose focus on the work ahead to strengthen and protect our democracy.

From empowering voters to speak out against extreme, racial gerrymanders to combating anti-democracy legislation in state legislatures, our work to ensure that the American people can participate in a democracy that’s truly and fairly representative is happening all around us. And it’s a marathon, not a sprint.

These fights will have far-reaching implications for years, maybe decades, to come. And as we’ve all been reminded all year long, there are truly no off-years when it comes to gerrymandering.

That’s why we can’t afford to let up. Not while anti-democracy forces are working to diminish the voting power of communities of color in Texas. Not while Louisiana’s fair map is on the line in a Supreme Court case that threatens the Voting Rights Act.

The fair maps movement requires sustained investment to ensure we can keep up our efforts, pushing back against map manipulation right now, and remaining ready to respond to threats against our democracy at a moment’s notice.

YOU have the power to help fuel this work today. Please, if you can, make an investment in All On The Line to help us defend democracy nationwide. As we saw last Tuesday, that’s what the American people want — and together, we’re going to fight for it: [[link removed]]
