Dear Democrats, Last week, Democrats made national headlines by winning high profile races in Virginia, New Jersey, New York City, and California. But here in New Mexico, we also have a lot to be proud of. According to our calculations, Democrats won at least 268 elections in local races in New Mexico. From school boards, town councils, and mayors’ offices, Democrats ran, put in the work, and ended Tuesday night as victors. We showed up in places that aren’t always thought of Democratic strongholds. -
A Democrat won the Mayoral election and races for school board in Otero County.
- Democrats won school board seats in Lea County.
- A Democrat won a seat on the Clayton City Council.
-
DPNM’s own CD-02 Vice Chair Laura Parra was elected to the Deming City Council.
- Democrats swept races on the Lordsburg City Council.

That’s not all, Democrats won in many other local races across the state. But with quite likely the most important midterm elections in the history of our country coming up, we can’t afford to sit back and take it easy, even here in New Mexico.
Please make a donation to the Democratic Party of New Mexico so we can continue our work helping to elect Democrats across the state.
New Mexico will have critical statewide and federal races in the upcoming midterms. With control of the House and Senate on the line, New Mexico will have to do our part. But we’ll be honest, fundraising is down dramatically for Democrats across the country, including us.
We don’t get gigantic donations from tech oligarchs and cryptocurrency phonies like the GOP does. We rely on casting a wide net and getting small donations from working people like you! Without donors like you, we simply wouldn't be able to compete. |
Thank you, NM Democrats Field Team |
