John,
If you’re like me, Senate Democrats’ cowardice and more reminders that our president is a sex pest are flooding your timelines. But even then, there was yet another thing that caught my eye:
This is oligarchy, John. While working families are struggling and juggling what bills to pay each month, the super-rich get to decide what they personally feel like paying, and for what.
No healthy economy can have such clear haves and have nots. But we can stop that rot.
Now more than ever, we need leadership that is not afraid to invite strict accountability over how we meet the needs of everyday people.
I am the only candidate in the race with hands-on experience managing California’s finances. And unlike the hypotheticals other candidates bring, during my tenure we shined a light on the gaps in the system to ensure big corporations had to pay their fair shares.
This work isn’t flashy, and it rarely makes headlines. But it’s often this work that decides if a family can afford to put food on the table or a teacher can retire with dignity.
That’s exactly what I aim to do, and it’s why I hope you’ll support our fight to end this new Gilded Age.
If you’re with me on this journey, please chip in $3 to my campaign today. As we near the end-of-year deadline, any amount is appreciated as we ramp up at this critical time.

We are all equal under the law, and here in California we’re going to keep it that way.
