![]() The other day, someone asked me if I could say anything to Donald Trump, what would I say? And John, here’s my response: Be kind to your fellow Americans. The way he vilifies people and creates ‘others’ in our society. If you don't look like him and talk like him and think like him, then you don't count in Trump's America. I think one of the things that makes America so great is the extraordinary diversity we have. Not just the diversity of what we look like, but the diversity of how we think, the diversity of how we were raised, where we came from, who we love, who we pray to. I think that's a strength. The President is constantly blocking off half the country and telling them they don't count. Vilifying the opposing party and talking about us, not as political opponents, but as actual enemies of America. That’s not how we treat our fellow Americans here in Pennsylvania — and it’s a kind of politics that doesn’t accomplish a thing. I think the President could learn a thing or two from Pennsylvania. The way we’ve brought folks together, ignored the political distractions, and made a real difference in people’s lives — not dividing folks up just to score political points.
Thank you for helping us out if you’re able. Josh |
