Friend, a bill passed by Ohio’s Republican Senate, S.B. 293, that’s now heading to the Ohio House would have thrown out 2,996 valid mail-in ballots in Cuyahoga County alone after last week’s election.

In races across the state, elections were decided by mere handfuls of votes — some by fewer than ten, and even several ties. Those 2,996 mailed ballots aren’t just numbers; they’re the voices of Ohioans.

This is a direct attack on the heart of our democracy, and it’s all part of Donald Trump’s larger, national push to sow distrust and destroy our voting systems from within.

MAGA Republicans are disenfranchising anyone they see as a threat to their power — senior citizens, people with disabilities, rural Ohioans, students, and even our active-duty military members who rely on the mail to have their voices heard.

The fight for voting rights is now at our doorstep. We cannot stand by while they try to rig the rules in their favor.

I’m running for Secretary of State to be a brick wall against these attacks. I’m ready to fight to ensure that every single eligible Ohioan can cast their ballot and have it counted. We must protect the four-day grace period for mail-in ballots and strengthen our elections, not gut them.

But to win this fight, we need to flip this seat and defeat the MAGA loyalists who want to carry out Donald Trump’s orders to destroy our voting processes. This is a critical moment, and our campaign needs resources to get our message to every voter in Ohio.
