🏛 From the Desk of Congresswoman Nancy Mace As your Representative in Washington, we're working every day to fight for our Lowcountry values. This newsletter is your inside look at what's happening in D.C. and how our team is serving you right here at home. Whether it's securing our borders, standing up for our military, or protecting your freedoms, we've got your back. Here's what we've been working on in Washington: | Rep. Nancy Mace Votes YES To Reopen Government After Schumer Shutdown | Congresswoman Nancy Mace released the following statement after voting to reopen the government and end the Schumer Shutdown:  “After 43 days of the Schumer Shutdown, the government can finally take care of our troops and others in need. We voted YES on the continuing resolution endorsed by President Trump to get our troops paid, federal employees back to work, and America back on track.  “Democrats dragged the country through a record shutdown and are now grasping at straws to hide the devastating consequences in their own party. Once again, they’ve proven they’ll always choose party over country. President Trump ended the Schumer Shutdown and with it, Chuck Schumer’s career.” | Rubber meets the road right here in the Lowcountry. We toured LANXESS at their Bushy Park facility in South Carolina, a world-class manufacturer producing the critical materials used to make rubber. They’re now the only company left in the U.S. still producing these essential chemicals. While China floods the market, American manufacturers are fighting to survive. It’s time Washington fought for them, too. | Our team donated $1,500 worth of food and baby formula, totaling 84 pounds, while volunteering at the Lowcountry Food Bank. During the Democrat shutdown, thousands of Lowcountry families lost access to SNAP benefits. No family should go hungry because Washington can’t get its act together. The Lowcountry Food Bank is on the front lines fighting hunger across the Lowcountry, serving as a lifeline for families every day. | We stood with Boeing, Governor Henry McMaster, and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to celebrate the groundbreaking of Boeing’s new expansion project, a landmark moment for South Carolina. This $1 billion investment will create more than 1,000 new jobs right here in the Lowcountry. Thanks to President Trump’s leadership and his administration’s America First agenda, major investments like this are taking flight once again. | After more than 1,300 credible threats per year and an airport caught falsifying incident reports, we finally have a full-time security detail at our Charleston office. Huge thanks to Charleston PD and Capitol Police for stepping up where others failed. Protection for Members of Congress and their staff shouldn’t require security breaches to make happen but we're grateful it is happening. | Congresswoman Nancy Mace is calling on additional whistleblowers to come forward after receiving credible information she was allegedly subjected to inappropriate surveillance and targeting by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and Charleston International Airport security personnel (CHS). According to information provided by current and former airport employees Rep. Mace was allegedly: - Subjected to mandatory surveillance by airport security personnel every time she was present at CHS
- Targeted by TSA officials who allegedly attempted to or wanted to revoke her TSA status
- Targeted by TSA officials who wanted her blocked from using the Known Crewmember (KCM) checkpoint as is standard operating procedure for all Members of Congress
Separately, current and former airport employees were allegedly punished or retaliated against for speaking out about other alleged security issues, breaches, and abuses. "This appears to be yet another example of the weaponization of government agencies against a conservative," said Rep. Mace. "If these allegations are true, it represents a disturbing abuse of power and a clear case of political retaliation. No American - let alone a sitting Member of Congress - should be subjected to this kind of targeted harassment simply for doing their job and standing up for their constituents. But this isn’t just about me, I am also deeply concerned about the alleged targeting of airport employees who speak up and are retaliated against." Rep. Mace is calling on any current or former TSA employees, airport security personnel, airport employees, or other individuals with knowledge of this alleged targeting - or similar incidents - to come forward with information. Whistleblowers may contact Rep. Mace's office through the following secure channel: mace.house.gov/contact "I want to assure any potential whistleblowers that your information will be handled with the utmost confidentiality and seriousness," Rep. Mace continued. "People deserve to know if their government is abusing its authority to target political opponents and private citizens." Rep. Mace indicated she will refer this matter to all appropriate federal and state oversight committees and inspectors general for investigation. Rep. Mace will also be contacting law enforcement agencies about any potential laws that may have been broken and will pursue this to the fullest extent of the law. | We spoke with WCBD News 2 at the groundbreaking of Boeing South Carolina’s $1 billion expansion. This project is a major win for our state and for American manufacturing. More than 1,000 new jobs are coming to the Lowcountry as Boeing continues to grow and produce the best in the world right here at home. | ABC News 4 covered our new full-time security detail at the Charleston office following the recent airport incident. It apparently took an airport falsifying police reports and retaliating against a Member of Congress to wake everyone up to the reality of the threats we face every day. The men and women of the Charleston Police Department and the U.S. Capitol Police put their lives on the line daily to protect both public servants and citizens. Their professionalism stands in stark contrast to the misconduct we witnessed from one or two bad actors at the Charleston Airport. | We held a press conference this week calling on additional whistleblowers to come forward after receiving credible information Rep. Mace was allegedly subjected to inappropriate surveillance and targeting by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and Charleston International Airport security personnel (CHS). We’re urging any current or former TSA employees, airport security personnel, airport employees, or other individuals with knowledge of this alleged targeting - or similar incidents - to come forward with information. Whistleblowers may contact Rep. Mace's office through the following secure channel: mace.house.gov/contact | We spoke with reporters on Capitol Hill about why we’re not removing our name from the Epstein discharge petition. We called out the fake news for trying to turn this into a story about President Trump instead of focusing on Epstein’s victims. Too many survivors never see justice, which is why we continue to stand with ALL survivors and will not abandon them.  Watch the full interview HERE. | 💬 Need help with a federal agency? Founded in 2011 by her mother, Ida Martin, the Bluffton Community Kitchen has become a lifeline for underserved families through its Hot Meals Program, Outdoor Food Pantry, 24-Hour Food Tree, and Afterschool Enrichment Program. The organization has seen about a 20% increase in program usage since the government shutdown first started. We thank Constance for her unwavering dedication to serving the Bluffton community and supporting families when they need it most.  We're also highlighting Stacey Lindbergh, Director of Engagement at Palmetto Goodwill.
