Today I am calling for universal on-campus childcare at community colleges. It can cost a student around $1,500 for tuition and books per semester at our local community college. The cost of childcare, on the low end, is about $3,000 a semester. When we talk about addressing the costs of college, we have to take the cost of childcare into account.

I believe that the voters deserve to know what their candidates stand for, and how they plan to make the lives of their constituents better. To that end, I will continue to release regular policy statements to inform the public.
