I wanted to make sure you heard the news:

A federal judge PERMANENTLY BLOCKED Donald Trump from deploying the National Guard in Portland.

This decision comes over a month after the president authorized the “full force” of the military against his own people, and it’s a major win for Oregonians and for the rule of law.

Since the start, Oregonians have been clear about making sure that our Constitutional rights to free speech and free assembly are protected.

This ruling proves what we’ve known all along: we don’t need or want the president’s troops in Portland.

Now, it’s time for Donald Trump to follow the law and stop spreading lies about our city — and I’m not backing down in the fight to hold him accountable.

I’m standing up against Trump’s cowardly abuse of power and working to protect our community from his attacks on our freedoms and our democracy. This is a critical moment, and it’s going to take a truly grassroots effort to get the job done. So I’m personally asking: will you pitch today to join the fight against Trump’s attacks and stand up for Oregon?
