We’ll be blunt with you- Republicans are setting Rural America on a path to fail. Trump’s Big Bad Bill cuts the Medicaid funding that keeps our rural hospitals open, Trump’s DOGE cuts target federal funding for the national weather service and emergency response that keep our communities safe, and Trump's constant support for radical, far-right ideology is taking over our communities. We HAVE to fight back.

That’s why the Oklahoma Democratic Party is taking a stand against the anti-democracy, far-right MAGA movement by rebuilding Democratic campaign infrastructure across rural Oklahoma. We can’t win statewide elections in rural states while losing rural voters 80% to 20%.

But we have a plan.

We know that elections are won by boots on the ground, which is why we started our mission from the ground up. 92% of Oklahomans live in a county that is organized. Organizing our counties with effective local leaders was step one of our plan.

Now we’re in step two. Over the next couple months, we’re planning days of action in every single organized county. That’s 50 county parties knocking doors and reaching voters directly to talk to them about getting involved, and about the issues that matter to them. To make this easier for our counties, we partnered with Contest Every Race to offer grants to them, totaling up to $65,000, giving them the organizing resources they need to reach as many folks as possible.

Will you join us on this mission? We’re challenging fellow Democrats to send $26, $50, or whatever they can, towards making projects like these possible. Will you support our mission?

Next, step three is mobilizing the folks we reach during our days of action. People are mad, John. We’re giving folks an opportunity to turn that anger into action- we believe strongly that we don’t agonize, we organize. 

This is just the start of what we have planned for 2026. With Trump and his billionaire cronies and congressional enablers more bold than ever, Democrats need to fight back harder than ever. We only need THREE seats in Congress to win back the majority, and Oklahoma has candidates running in all five of our congressional districts, all with rural areas needing support. 

Projects like these cost a lot of money, and Republicans like it that way. That’s why we need your support. Will you be a partner in the success of our campaigns in 2026?
