Good morning!
As you’re receiving this newsletter in your inbox, I am on the road in St. Paul for our last day of our fifth and final bonding tour of this interim season. It has been a long, but fun and informative series of trips! Being able to tour facilities and view potential projects across the state will help us as we get ready for this upcoming session and consider future bonding bills.
Fighting for A Stronger Criminal Justice System
Just this week, the Department of Homeland Security arrested an illegal criminal alien [ [link removed] ] in Edina, MN. The man they arrested had a violent and extensive criminal history, and was not punished as he should have been. DHS and their partners have been working tirelessly to address issues in the justice system such as this one, a violent criminal that was let out on to the streets and given the opportunity to commit other crimes against innocent citizens. I am grateful for the work of DHS and their partners, along with the courageous work that our local and statewide law enforcement officers do everyday to protect our communities. Check out my press release on this issue below:

A Snippet of the Bonding Tour
While the tour hasn’t concluded yet, I want to share a few photos with you from the first two days. It has been a great trip, as I already mentioned, and I am very grateful to the staff that made these trips possible, as well as the many cities that hosted us along the way. I look forward to sharing more photos when this tour’s slideshow is completed after the tour wraps up!
