It’s been a busy two weeks since my last update. I want to share some highlights: a visit with our federal colleague, a major public safety investment, and time spent in one of our local schools.
Meeting with Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach at Ridgeview, Arlington
Together with Congresswoman Fischbach, I visited the Ridgeview medical campus in Arlington. We discussed federal-state partnerships in rural healthcare and ways to ensure quality services remain available to families in smaller communities. It was a valuable conversation about safeguarding access, reducing burdens on local providers, and building on what we know works for rural Minnesota.

Groundbreaking for BCA Regional Office in Mankato
The other week, state and local leaders gathered in Mankato to break ground on a new Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) regional office and crime lab that will serve all of southern Minnesota.
|
Once completed, the facility will be able to process up to 6,000 cases and 12,000 pieces of evidence each year, helping law enforcement spend less time traveling to the Twin Cities and more time serving their communities.
This new regional lab is a major investment in public safety and an important step toward improving access to forensic resources across Greater Minnesota.

Le Sueur School Visit
I had the opportunity to meet with Superintendent Jim Wagner and tour the new elementary school building in Le Sueur. The facility is an impressive investment in the future of local education, and it was great to see firsthand the work being done to support students and staff. During our visit, we discussed school safety, local priorities, and legislation impacting the district. I appreciate the superintendent’s leadership and the entire team’s commitment to providing a safe and supportive learning environment for students.

Holiday Season is in Full Effect!
As we settle into the holiday season and begin to see a few flurries across Minnesota, I hope everyone finds time to slow down and enjoy the moment with family and friends.
Thank you for staying involved and engaged. As always, please reach out with questions, concerns, or ideas. Your feedback makes a difference, and I am grateful for the opportunity to represent you!
Have a safe and enjoyable weekend,
