Hey John,

Direct Action Everywhere SF Bay Area and Stockton, Modesto and Sacramento Animal Save are holding a 24-hour vigil at a slaughterhouse to bring attention to the suffering of the pigs. We will bear witness, play music, and have some trainings and activities over the course of the vigil. If we see a truck with pigs arriving, we will attempt to provide water to the pigs. We will bring water sprayers, head lamps and signs but guests are highly encouraged to bring their own if they have them. Please bring your own snacks/meals. Also close toe shoes and pants or tights that cover your legs are strongly encouraged because of the terrain where we will be standing. Attendees are encouraged to stay for as much of the vigil as they can, but people can come and go as they need. There are restrooms not too far from the site. If standing for a long period of time is challenging for you. Please private message Alicia Santurio to reserve a chair. Every attendee will be required to wear a mask and practice social distancing. We will have some spare masks and hand sanitizer for guests who can't provide their own. Join us in bearing witness, at the 24 Hour Vigil for Pigs taking place at 4881 E Frontage Rd, Stockton, CA 95215; the vigil will be from Thursday, July 16th, 11AM through Friday, July 17th, 11AM.
