Hey John, it's David.

After years of delays and cover-ups, we might actually see the Epstein
files made public.

That’s because young leaders like Congressman Robert Garcia from
California refused to let this issue die.

He’s under 50, he’s leading the Oversight Committee, and he’s been
relentless. He’s been demanding answers, standing up to Republicans, and
now — finally — we’re seeing action.

Just yesterday Rep. Adelita Grijalva was sworn in despite Speaker Mike
Johnson’s attempts to delay her. Her first move? Signing the discharge
petition to release the Epstein files. That means we’re just a week away
from real accountability: who Epstein trafficked kids to, and who in power
helped cover it up.

Compare that with the eight Senate Democrats (nearly all of whom are
retiring) who just caved on the government shutdown, handing a victory to
Republicans instead of continuing to fight. If anyone should have been
worried about the vulnerability of their seat and voted with Republicans,
it should have been someone like Ossoff in Georgia or Gallego in Arizona
(both younger senators), but they still did not vote to cave to the
Republicans and who did? Eight Senators who have been there for decades
and have all the experience in the world, but none of the courage to make
it matter. Experience matters, but it means NOTHING if you don’t have a
spine in moments like this.

And that’s the problem, John.

Too many Democrats don’t get that this moment demands urgency. Demands
boldness. Demands a new generation of leaders who won’t roll over when it
matters most.

That’s exactly what Leaders We Deserve is about:
→ Finding young progressives (the next Robert Garcia)
→ Getting them elected and into leadership roles
→ Giving them the resources to actually fight

But we can’t do this without grassroots support from people like you.

We all deserve a Democratic Party that doesn’t back down — and that starts
with changing who we elect, embracing a culture of weeding out the
feckless folders we have in this party in our safe seats via primaries,
and winning majorities that have the spine to actually use their power to
hold Trump's feet to the fire and NOT cave in moments like what we just
saw.

Thanks for being in this fight with us.
