My roots in Texas run deep. 

As the eldest of eight children born to migrant farmers in Laredo, Texas, I recognized the importance of hard work at an early age. I grew up with family values, deep faith, and a passion for hard work. I was taught that education is the key to opportunity and became the first in my family to attend college. 

My journey serves as a constant reminder of the American dream. The grit and spirit of our district will always be the driving force behind this campaign and keeping this district blue.

It is the honor of my life to serve South Texas as your Congressman. I believe everyone should have the resources and opportunities to succeed. That is why I work every day to ensure that people in this district have the same opportunities I did. But I need your help.
