Last night, I joined Jim Sciutto on CNN to talk about something that matters deeply to me—and I believe to you too: protecting our democracy and defending working families in Texas’s 9th Congressional District.

We talked about what’s happening here on the ground:

— MAGA extremists trying to gerrymander TX-09 out of existence
— Skyrocketing costs and failed leadership from both Trump and Abbott
— A political system that’s being rigged to keep people like you and me from having a real voice

I stepped up to run for Congress because I’ve spent my life serving this country, first in an F-16 fighter jet over Iraq and later in command of the International Space Station. I know what leadership looks like when the stakes are high.
