Team, it’s official: California has voted to redraw its congressional maps and level the playing field after extreme Republicans in Texas cowed to Donald Trump’s demands.
But that means I’m running in an entirely new and more competitive district — and essentially launching a brand new campaign for Congress.
Make no mistake: While our campaign and our district might be new, our fight is the same as it’s always been.
We’re fighting for a more affordable California, a fairer economy, a stronger democracy, a more accountable and transparent government, and an end to the most corrupt administration in American history led by the worst President in American history.
And in that fight, we can’t afford to play it safe — especially now that California has taken the bold step to counter the anti-democratic gerrymandering efforts in Texas.
