| John, I was born at night, but not last night. If Washington can't keep the government open, the politicians who caused the mess shouldn't keep getting paid. That's why I introduced common-sense legislation to stop congressional pay during a government shutdown — no work, no pay. Period. If federal workers and military families are feeling the pain, Congress ought to feel it first. President Trump is backing my push to hold Washington accountable, and momentum is on our side.
