John,

I wanted you to hear directly from me. I voted NO on the MAGA Republican bill that allows ongoing government without any fix to the shocking healthcare premiums Americans are starting to receive.

I do not believe that House Republicans will take any action to reduce health care costs for the American people. Speaker Johnson has said himself that he will not hold a vote on extending Affordable Care Act tax credits. This deal is a cold-hearted lie.

This deal also fails to include any guardrails to prevent the Trump administration from continuing their illegal and unconstitutional misuse of funds appropriated by Congress and it allows Republican senators to sue the Department of Justice!

It’s not what Republicans like to call a “clean CR.” The more that Americans find out what’s in it, they will be appalled.

So while Republicans ignore this crisis, I’m standing with you. I will fight until every American has access to affordable health care.
