Dear John, Last week, voters went to the polls to weigh in on important issues across the country. In California, we had a special statewide election to consider Proposition 50 that attracted national attention. Behind the national headlines, there were meaningful Election Day results that showed voters in the broader Bay Area are ready to back affordable housing and other community needs at the ballot! |

Election Day Results: Wins for Affordable Housing and Community Care NPH Action Fund was proud to track local housing and community measures this cycle and share our endorsements to support voters’ learning and decision-making. And we are delighted to share that voters aligned with all five of our recommended endorsements: |
|
- In Santa Cruz, voters took a major step forward toward ensuring that working families, seniors, and community members can continue to live and thrive in the City of Santa Cruz. Voters affirmed affordable housing solutions by passing the community-led Measure C with 54% support – and overwhelmingly rejecting the deceptive Measure B (12-88%.) Congratulations to Housing Santa Cruz County on their amazing organizing efforts.

- In Santa Clara, voters approved Measure A with 57%. This measure offers a temporary but essential response to massive federal healthcare cuts that threaten to shut down emergency rooms, trauma centers and local clinics. It will protect essential access to healthcare for Santa Clara County community members, including tens of thousands of affordable housing residents who depend on quality healthcare to thrive. A broad coalition, including Congressman Sam Liccardo, Santa Clara County Supervisors, Santa Clara District Attorney Jeff Rosen, San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan, and many local organizations worked to educate voters about exactly what was at stake. Congratulations to SV@Home, Destination:Home and Working Partnerships USA on a big win!

|
- And in the City of Sausalito, voters approved Measures J & K by wide margins, showing that Marin County can support needed housing. Measure J passed with 75% support, and Measure K with 54% support. We thank the Sausalito City Council for putting this measure before the voters, and applaud Sausalito for voting pro-housing.
