Friend,
I’m angry, Speaker Johnson is angry, and you should be angry too.
When Senate Republicans came together Friday night to open up the government,
they snuck in a clause that would essentially hand themselves$500,000 of
taxpayer money

for being targeted by Biden’s DOJ.
That’s right… Half a million dollars for them, but not a single dime for those
J6ers who lost everything.
While hardworking Tennesseans are stretching their dollars to fill their gas
tanks and put food on the table, career politicians in Washington are finding
new ways to cash in.
Senator Bill Hagerty has been the only one to do the right thing and turn down
the money. I'm asking the other Republican Senators, including Senator Marsha
Blackburn to do the same. Republicans know this is wrong. Let's fix it.
Let me be clear: I will never take a dime of political welfare, nor put myself
in a position to take from taxpayers.

Not for a lawsuit, not for political favors, and certainly not for personal
gain.
When I say I’ll protect your tax dollars, I mean it. Tennesseans deserve a
governor who stands up for you—not the D.C. Swamp.
