This current Senate deal, as passed, is a travesty friend.

And here’s one very obvious reason why:

Senate Republicans have authorized their own special protections that would allow them to intimidate and enrich themselves simply by being investigated for treason.

Ensuring their own lack of accountability was apparently more important for Republican senators than extending affordable health care options for millions of working-class Americans, including thousands right here in IL-17. And they’ve got taxpayers on the hook for it.

It’s always about finding new pockets of money for themselves, and leaving none for us.

In doing this, the cycle is complete – Trump’s sleaze and corruption has officially seeped into the Senate’s psyche.

How is this any different than Trump having his own Justice Department pay him a quarter of a billion dollars in taxpayer money for having the gall to investigate him for proven wrongdoing? It’s not, and that’s the problem.

We don’t take an oath to serve the people for our own enrichment, and nobody should be running for office with any expectation that our taxes are their personal piggy bank.

I don’t have to tell you, friend, that we deserve better.

Future generations depend on us being able to come together to do what’s right for the people of the 17th District. It starts by clearing out these bad actors from any amount of power.

I’m fighting to protect your healthcare AND make sure we use your taxes on you, and I need more allies to knock these folks out of power for good. Send a message that their days are numbered with an $3 donation today.
