Lawmakers recently voted to overturn safeguards across millions of acres of the Western Arctic, a move that would put ecologically vital public lands at risk from new drilling. The resurrected Ambler Road Project. This corrupt deal would carve a 200-mile industrial mining corridor through the Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve, pollute thousands of streams and rivers, and cause irreparable destruction to the region’s ecosystem.  Opening up Alaska’s Tongass National Forest to industrial logging. The Tongass is the largest national forest in the U.S. and the last intact temperate rainforest left on the planet. The Trump administration moved to open it up to timber companies and industrial development, worsening climate change and forever altering the landscape. We’ve stopped attacks like these before, but it takes our entire movement to
organize and campaign in a major way to overcome the money and influence of
