ONE BIG THING: DON’T CROSS THE PICKET LINE |

Today, Starbucks Workers United baristas are launching a wave of strikes in 65 locations across 41 cities. In case you didn’t know, today is Red Cup Day at Starbucks — one of their busiest sales days of the year.
These workers are asking for:
If Starbucks refuses to come to the table, more locations will join the picket line.
This isn’t just about Starbucks. When workers organize, they can stand up against even the biggest, most profitable corporations.
Workers have won strikes in Houston. Just last month, UNITE HERE Local 23 members at Hilton Americas-Houston ended the first-ever hotel strike in Texas after 40 days on the picket line. Their new contract redefines the standard for hotel workers across the state.
In the fight against the billionaires, unions are how working people win. Each contract, each strike, each victory strengthens our movement and inspires more people to join.

Solidarity with International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Local 564 (Gulf Coast), which has held two informational pickets in support of workers at the Olin Corporation Freeport facility.
Join Pipe Fitters Local 211 (Houston) in congratulating their 125 new members! Welcome to the labor union family!
Join Teamsters Local 767 in congratulating brother Hector Salazar on his retirement after 38 years of service, and brother Robert Pecina on his retirement after 35 years of service! Both were Package Car Drivers from UPS Towneast Mesquite. We wish them the best in the next chapter of their lives.
