Thank you for making Allies in Action unforgettable!

Thank you for making Allies in Action an unforgettable evening! We are so grateful for your support and for the incredible community that came together at BauHaus to stand up for reproductive freedom and pro-choice women’s leadership.

We cannot do this work without you. Every conversation, every show of support, and every act of allyship strengthens our movement to defend choice in Minnesota and elect pro-choice women to office across the state. Seeing so many of our allies in the community last Thursday was a powerful reminder that real change takes all of us.

A huge thank-you to Governor Tim Walz and Minnesota Second Gentleman Tom Weber for joining us and reminding us that allyship matters—especially as reproductive rights are under attack across the country. Their words and continued commitment to protecting choice show us what it takes to lead with courage and compassion.

Together, we are building a Minnesota where the bodily autonomy of all people is protected at all levels of government. Didn’t make it out, but still want to show your allyship?

We’re proud to share Women Winning’s 2025 Election Report Card. Reproductive freedom continues to be at the heart of everything we do — and we know it’s at the heart of your work, too.

Women Winning is still here — and we’re not going anywhere. For more than 40 years, we’ve been building power, electing pro-choice women, and creating lasting change. We’ll be here for as long as it takes.

Highlights:

76% of Women Winning candidates won their races, including 95% of incumbents.

Kaohly Vang makes history in Minnesota mayoral race

Former Minnesota state Rep. Kaohly Vang Her was elected Tuesday as St. Paul’s first Hmong American and first woman mayor, defeating incumbent Melvin Carter in a closely watched race.

Her, a Democrat who represented the city’s East Side in the Minnesota House, previously served as Carter’s policy director during his first term. She campaigned on improving public safety, expanding affordable housing, and restoring public trust in city government.

Carter, who was seeking a third term, conceded late Tuesday. Her victory marks a historic moment for Minnesota’s Hmong community, which is one of the largest in the United States.

House Dems release Epstein emails alleging Trump may have known about his behavior

Democrats on the House Oversight Committee released emails Wednesday, including one from 2019 in which disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein alleged that President Trump "knew about the girls."

The big picture: Democrats assert the emails "raise serious questions" about President Trump and his knowledge of Epstein's crimes.

Trump had earlier dismissed demands for additional files tied to the Epstein investigation as a Democratic "hoax." He's acknowledged he was once friendly with the convicted sex offender but said that they had a falling out.

Context: In the 2019 email, Epstein's line that Trump "knew about the girls" appears to refer to Trump's past claim that he banned Epstein from his Mar-a-Lago club for allegedly approaching young women who worked there.

Driving the news: House Oversight Ranking Member Rep. Robert Garcia (D-Calif.) said the emails "raise glaring questions about what else the White House is hiding and the nature of the relationship between Epstein and the President."
