Friends, I had to make a tough decision in our race to defend New Hampshire's Senate seat.

There's a lot of pressure on this race: With election experts saying that Senate control hinges on New Hampshire, the Democratic Party is relying on us to protect this seat so we can retake the majority. But our self-funded opponent is outspending us on TV and the radio, and Corey Lewandowski just said he plans on "delivering the state" for the GOP.

That's why I made one of the toughest calls of this campaign: I just greenlit our first TV ad buy of the year to fight back against the GOP in New Hampshire – even though we don't have all of the money in our budget to keep it running yet. 

We had to take this risk, friends. Connecting with voters in ad spots like these is more important than ever this year. So I made the bet that I could count on the support of this grassroots team to help us fill the budget gap. 

If we're going to defend New Hampshire's Senate seat and take back the Senate for Democrats, we have to hit this goal.
