Last week's elections were a resounding rebuke of the Trump Regime, with decisive victories here in Georgia. 

But before we dig into more of the results, we've got an important update.

Three Democracy Champions we endorsed in Georgia municipal elections made it to the December 2 runoff elections: Dontaye Carter for Mayor of Sandy Springs, Mary Robichaux for Mayor of Roswell, and Nora Gaudet for Marietta City Council, Ward 3.

That means we’ve got to run all the way through the tape and add to last week’s wins.

With your support, we're showing the power of strategic investment in our democracy and the leaders who defend it.

Statewide, both Democrats we endorsed for the George Public Service Commission — Dr. Alicia Johnson and Peter Hubbard — won their races by roughly 20 points. That's a resounding margin and the first non-federal statewide Democratic win since 2006. 

At the local level, we flipped three municipal seats and successfully defended two others. 

• Colette R. Jenkins, Albany City Commission, Ward 5: Defeated a longtime conservative incumbent and expanded Democratic control in Albany. 
• Garnet Morris, Hiram City Council, Post 5: Flipped the seat, narrowing Republican control. 
• Gabrielle Nelson, Port Wentworth City Council, District 1: Successfully defended this Democratic seat.
• Eren Brumley, Roswell City Council, Post 5: Flipped the seat, further narrowing Republican control in Roswell.
• Melody Kelley, Sandy Springs City Council, District 2: Successfully defended this seat.

Our investment included direct financial support, text messages to tens of thousands of voters, and strategic support for campaigns that typically receive little attention or resources. 

And turnout surpassed 1.5 million voters — exceptional for an off-year election. 

We've shown that in the face of an increasingly authoritarian Trump Regime, we can still push back when we fight side by side. 

And with the runoffs just weeks away, followed by the critical 2026 midterms, we have to be ready to elect more pro-voter leaders at all levels of government — who will defend our freedoms, stand up for Georgians, and protect the right to vote.
