Hi John, The 2024 election reminded us that progress is never guaranteed—this Election Day, we were reminded that people power is real. While national headlines told one story, local and state elections across the country revealed another: communities organizing for racial and economic justice, electing leaders who believe in equity, and resisting the politics of fear.
These wins matter. But so does what comes next. Real change depends on our ability to understand how systemic racism operates, to recognize it in our daily work, and to stay rooted in shared learning even when the landscape shifts. The learning does not stop because the ballots are counted; it is how we prepare for what is ahead.
At Race Forward, we carry this legacy forward by creating training spaces that equip people to name inequities, practice equity, and transform the institutions we inhabit today.

In the year ahead, we’re expanding our offerings so that more people, in more places, can learn, strategize, and build together:

- Shorter Training Options:Flexible formats that meet people where they are while providing practical tools for action.
- Expanded Webinars:New virtual spaces to learn across sectors, connect nationally, and build power, even in the face of censorship.
- Our Full Core Training Series:Building Racial Equity, Decision-Making for Racial Equity, Power-Building for Racial Equity, and Facilitating for Racial Equity will continue to anchor our calendar, offering both foundational and advanced pathways into racial equity practice.

This foundational training explores the role and responsibility of government in advancing racial equity, offering frameworks and tools to normalize equity as a core value, operationalize equity goals, and organize for systemic change.
Join us for this final 2025 session to strengthen your foundation before we relaunch an updated version next year, tailored to meet the moment we are in. Please note that this will be the final Governing for Racial Equity (GRE) training of 2025 as we prepare to pause and evolve this offering in 2026.
