Dear John,
Vote Mama endorsed candidate Adelita Grijalva was officially sworn in yesterday as the Representative for AZ-07: seven weeks since her special election victory.
Not only is she increasing the number of mamas in Congress from 39 to 40, her arrival will finally force the House to proceed with a long-postponed vote to require release of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein.
Rep. Grijalva slammed Speaker Mike Johnson for the delay in her swearing in, calling it an attempt by Republicans to pressure four of their own party members to withdraw their names from the petition.
Delays and political games won’t stop Rep. Grijalva from demanding truth and accountability. She has already become the 218th member to sign on for releasing the Epstein files, the final signature needed to force a vote that will put every Representative on the record.
Moms like Rep. Grijalva are exactly the type of leaders we need in Congress—moms who refuse to back down and will continue to hold the line when it comes to justice.
We’re so proud of Rep. Grijalva, and we can’t wait to see all the incredible things she will accomplish for everyday people and families.
Thanks for standing with us and our moms,
- Liuba & Your Friends at Vote Mama
