There are a number of reasons that donation matters (especially now, at this very moment). And if you’ve got a minute, we’d love the chance to explain.
First off, VoteVets went all in on this year’s elections. We invested more than $2 million just in New Jersey and Virginia. And it might surprise you to learn that the biggest source of donations we have is to emails like this one, from people like you.
So, to raise what we need to win elections in 2026, it’s going to be those very same donations that get us there.
Second, we’ve got an official FEC deadline on December 31st. When that hits we’re legally required to report out how much we’ve raised, and a lot of people will be watching. Our allies, our adversaries, and the press.
Putting out a big number shows how much we’ll be able to do to support our candidates in 2026, and it just might scare off some big money donors on the right. That would be HUGE, so it is really important that we show strength.
And third, the halfway point to that FEC deadline is on November 15th. It’s an important milestone that lets us know we’re on track to our goals. And, unfortunately, we’re a little behind pace right now.
We know you can’t chip in to every email we send, but we do need the people who understand how important these donations are to give when they can — and when it really matters.
