The meeting was a desperate hail mary by Trump to stop Congress from gathering enough signatures on a petition, which Boebert has signed, that would compel the House to vote on getting the Justice Department to release the FBI’s Epstein files to the public.
Experts expect Boebert to flip given her vulnerable hold on her district, her abysmal fundraising, and her reliance on Trump. However, she now holds powerful cards and is using her signature to hold the White House hostage, extorting Trump for as much campaign cash as possible.
Earlier today the judiciary committee released emails that described how Epstein was literally blackmailing Trump over his involvement with the women he trafficked.
Now that Trump has been decisively implicated in the scandal, Boebert can’t put the genie back in the bottle. Her base is going to crucify her if she takes her name off that petition. And we are going to be watching and holding her accountable for how she actually votes.
When she revokes her signature and collapses the bipartisan effort to expose the Epstein Files, and/or votes against it on the floor, we need to be ready to rock and roll. We are preparing to hammer her over this relentlessly with attacks ads on tv, digital, and billboards.
