After historic victories in New Jersey and Virginia last week, there’s a lot to celebrate. But with the momentum on our side, Republicans are doubling down on their plans to hold on to power.

You’ve probably seen the headlines: Trump and his allies are trying to rig the system because they know that people won’t vote for their unpopular policies. They’re hand-picking Republican states to go through redistricting processes so they can change the rules of the game.

If they're reevaluating our maps to ensure fairness, we're going to do the same in Maryland. That's why I just announced the Governor’s Redistricting Advisory Commission in Maryland, and why Democratic governors nationwide are taking action to protect the voting rights that are the foundation of our democracy. The Democratic Governors Association is even suing Donald Trump over his Executive Order attacking our elections and making it harder to vote – and they’re winning.

But our fight for fairness is going to take all of us, team, so I’m asking you to stand with me and Democratic governors across the country.
