This week, we won two victories for our students and families.
First: A federal court stopped Trump’s Department of Education from cutting $5 million in school mental health funding that supports programs at Bowie State University and the University of Maryland, Baltimore. These funds are critical in supporting the training of school counselors and social workers who help our kids thrive.
Then: A federal judge blocked the Trump administration’s attempt to defund sexual health education programs serving more than 1,400 Maryland teens every year. These programs save lives, especially in communities like Prince George’s County, where HIV diagnoses remain among the highest in the country.
We fought back, we went to court, and we won. But the Trump administration isn’t backing down.
Can I count on you to chip in $10, $25, or whatever you can to my reelection campaign to help us defend our kids, schools, and families from more unlawful federal overreach?
