We’re in a catastrophic moment for kids around the world: Every minute, 35 children are born into hunger. 2.4 million newborns die every year. Nearly half the world’s children don’t get a balanced diet.
Like so many other staff at Save the Children, I’ve seen firsthand how life-changing and lifesaving our work is – ensuring children have nutrition support, education opportunities and emergency care.
From advocating for child nutrition support in the U.S. to distributing food to children caught in conflict in Gaza and providing health services to children on the move in Sudan – your support helps us put children first. Every day, in times of crisis and for our future. But right now, children’s lives are under threat.
Since we announced this call to action, more than 400 supporters have already signed the pledge – and we’re looking for 600 more people to speak up for kids before midnight. Please, sign the pledge if you believe we need to protect children everywhere and demand world leaders put children first.

Right now, we're witnessing a devastating time for children in the U.S. and around the world. Children are paying the highest price for adult wars. 1 in 5 children lives in an area affected by conflict — up from just 1 in 10 a decade ago. Conflict is now the leading cause of child hunger. In some of the world’s worst crises, starvation is even being used as a weapon of war.
The truth is: One child suffering from hunger is too many. One child dying in conflict is too many. And one child cut off from access to early learning is too many. World leaders must do more.
