My wife, Carmen, and I founded the Jules of Life Foundation in 2009 to support families battling pediatric cancer in an area that had limited care and resources.

It’s now 2025, and access to healthcare is only getting worse. Republican cuts to Medicaid through the “Big Beautiful Bill” will not only slash individuals' healthcare but also force local health systems to close because they don’t have funding.

How close you live to a big city shouldn’t determine the quality of care you receive.
