Hey John,
If you haven’t heard of LooksMaxxing, a teen boy in your life certainly has. Many teens turn to YouTube and TikTok influencers for advice on workouts, grooming, fashion, etc. - and there’s nothing inherently wrong with that!
But far too often, teens fall prey to influencers who use shame to play off insecurities and increase anxiety about body image. Then they exploit those feelings to sell gummies, pills, pumps (yes, those kinds of pumps), or other products with zero evidence that they work.
That’s why it’s important to make sure teens watch our newest AMAZE video produced with the LinkUp Lab - a partnership between Futures Without Violence and Equimundo: Center for Masculinity & Social Justice.
WATCH NOW
This is the first of five upcoming videos AMAZE is producing with the LinkUp Lab targeted to teen boys, all in hopes of interrupting "The Manosphere." Watch the video and keep an eye on the webpage for upcoming resources for youth-serving adults.
If you think boys don’t struggle with body image, think again. Let’s make sure the guidance they’re seeking is healthy and based in science, not shame and scams.
Thank you so much! Feel free to reply and let me know if you enjoyed the video!
