Team,
We’ve been closely following updates in the Texas DACA case before Judge Hanen, and want to keep you in the loop.
New briefs were filed on Monday, but the most important thing to know right now is that renewals are still open and DACA recipients remain protected — and are working to ensure recipients stay protected.
Renewals continue to be processed for the whole country with FULL DACA benefits, including access to work permits, for all DACA recipients, including those in Texas.
Meanwhile, it’s also critical to recognize that immigration agents are escalating their actions across the country.
DACA recipients are being disappeared and thrown into detention without any form of due process, despite having current protections.
No matter what happens, we have each other’s backs. United We Dream is here to provide clear information, support, and space to process what this latest update and the future of DACA mean for our communities.
This remains true:
DACA recipients, immigrant youth, and all immigrants must be able to live with dignity and safety.
United We Dream is ready to provide accurate and trusted information as DACA makes its way through the courts, share up-to-date information and resources for DACA recipients and loved ones, and empower each other to raise our voices against agents snatching immigrants in our communities. Please donate to help us continue this vital work today:
