I want to leave no room for doubt here:

Tonight, I’m voting hell no on the Republican continuing resolution. 

This proposal fails at the one thing government is supposed to do: improve the health, safety, and prosperity of the people. It does exactly the opposite.

Millions of Americans will lose access to health care. The White House will continue to ignore Congressional authority. Funding for programs that support seniors, people with disabilities, and survivors of domestic violence will dry up. 

I’m not giving my consent to ANY legislation that makes massive cuts to Americans’ health care, undermines the power of Congress, and offers zero meaningful concessions from the GOP.

This is a choice between doing the right thing or the convenient thing, and I'll pick the right thing every time. Your security and well-being are worth fighting for.
