 Dear neighbors,
I have many feelings about the federal government shutdown and the health insurance affordability crisis that precipitated it. I imagine you do too. That people on SNAP got caught up in it was cruel and unnecessary. Regardless of where we sit on the ideological spectrum, I hope we can all agree that people need help.
With the timing of SNAP benefits still in limbo and holidays around the corner, Rep. Cheryl Youakim and I are hosting a food drive for STEP in St Louis Park. Drop off your donations from 4-6 pm on Wednesday, Nov. 19, on the east side of the St. Louis Park Rec Center parking lot. Here’s a press release we did with more information. See you there!
