Friend, I voted no on the so-called “deal” in the Senate to end the shutdown. As much as I want to see the shutdown come to an end, Americans cannot afford a plan that doesn’t extend the ACA tax credits. We can’t give in to empty promises.

Right now, too many families are choosing between groceries, rent, and health care. That is unacceptable.

Because of our fight, we moved the debate forward. But Senate and House Republicans, backed by Donald Trump, walked away from a real solution to reduce premiums and extend the ACA tax credits that help families make ends meet.

I will not accept this cruelty. I am fighting to permanently extend the tax credits, bring down health care costs, and stop policies that drive up prices at the grocery store and the gas pump. But we cannot win this fight without resources on the ground to organize and elect leaders who won’t back down from this fight. Will you chip in to help us keep up the pressure and protect families in our state? [[link removed]?]
