So John just introduced a new bill to help Social Security benefits keep up with rising costs and inflation – the Boosting Benefits and COLAs for Seniors Act.
It’s simple: Adjustments to benefits should keep up with the real cost of living. This year’s increase was just 2.8%. That doesn’t even come close to covering rising prices. 📈
John’s bill changes how benefits are calculated – it guarantees that benefits actually reflect seniors’ costs, like medical care and prescriptions. It’s fair. It’s overdue.
No one who’s worked their whole life should have to choose between paying for medicine or groceries. Folks earned these benefits.
