Team, Donald Trump made the unprecedented decision to cut food benefits for families during the government shutdown.

That left millions of Americans, including over a million right here in Massachusetts, wondering how they’d afford groceries.

Massachusetts refused to accept that.

I stood with Attorney General Andrea Campbell and a coalition of states to take the Trump administration to court. And we won.

This weekend, I directed full SNAP benefits to be paid out to Massachusetts residents immediately. Because in this state, we don’t turn our back on our community members that need help. We feed them.

And when Trump tried to bully states into clawing those benefits back? My message was simple: Not in Massachusetts. If you come after our families, we’ll see you in court.
