Young people, especially young men, are seeking help, and we’re making
sure we focus on them.

This isn’t just a talking point for me,

My family did not have it easy. My grandfather was chased out of the
country by white supremacists. I lost my father when I was young because
he didn’t have access to proper healthcare.

Those experiences shaped me. And they fuel my belief that there has to be
a better way.

That’s why my administration is stepping up and providing the resources
young people need to build a future right here in Maryland.

No more “no and slow.” We’re saying “yes and now.”

We’re building momentum in Maryland, building pathways to work, wages, and
wealth.
