** Homeless Prevention and Response System Gap Analysis & 2021 Community Priorities
------------------------------------------------------------

The Anchorage Coalition to End Homelessness (ACEH) is pleased to share our inaugural Homeless Prevention and Response System Gap Analysis including our 2021 Community Priorities, which can be found on our website at: [link removed].

The Homeless Prevention and Response System Gap Analysis & 2021 Community Priorities was created by ACEH’s Advisory Council and includes two main components. The Gap Analysis represents a supply and demand analysis of the existing system based on local data and the subject matter expertise of those with lived experience, community leaders and organizations on the front line providing these services citywide. The 2021 Community Priorities are the goals identified to reduce system gaps in the coming year. These goals are intended to summarize for community members, funders, policy-makers, and advocates, recommendations around collective action to address identified gaps in the Homeless Prevention and Response System. The 2021 Community Priorities are designed to be used to direct programmatic, policy, and funding decisions to achieve our shared goals of making homelessness rare, brief, and one-time.

We look forward to discussing our findings in more detail in the coming months. You are welcome to join us in brief presentations at the Anchorage Assembly Committee on Homelessness and our upcoming ACEH Membership Meeting. You will find the details of both these events below:

Anchorage Assembly Committee on Homelessness Meeting
* Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at 11 AM – 12:30 PM

Anchorage Coalition to End Homelessness (ACEH) Membership Meeting

ACEH would also like to recognize the deep commitment demonstrated by the Advisory Council who led this important work. These community leaders recognized the urgency of completing this task during COVID-19 and prioritized this complex and detailed project over the last 4 months to help Anchorage use current events as an opportunity to move the needle on homelessness.

Homelessness is a complex issue that requires multi-layered solutions. In spite of the many challenges facing Alaska and the country right now due to COVID-19, we believe that we have a significant opportunity to align resources into collective action that is data and practice informed and better serve the Anchorage community. Together, we can solve homelessness.
